This award celebrates public sector organisations in Ireland that have successfully deployed Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance governance, improve public engagement, and streamline service delivery. It honours initiatives that address societal challenges, foster transparency, and demonstrate a commitment to ethical and responsible AI use. The category highlights projects that deliver tangible benefits to citizens, advance public services, and align with strategic goals for public sector innovation. The judges are particularly interested in understanding how AI has been integrated into public sector initiatives and the measurable impact achieved over the past 12 months. Entry is by a 5-page A4 submission; the judges will be looking for clear information backed up by evidence that pays particular attention to the criteria listed below.

  • AI Strategy and Objectives: Describe your AI strategy and key goals, such as improving public service delivery, enhancing operational efficiency, or increasing citizen engagement, and how these align with your organisational objectives.
  • AI Solutions and Implementation: Detail the AI technologies or solutions you’ve implemented and where they are applied, such as resource allocation, citizen support systems, public safety monitoring, or administrative process automation.
  • Operational Integration: Explain how AI is embedded into daily operations and how it enhances decision-making or optimises processes in public sector services.
  • Innovation: Highlight unique or innovative AI applications that differentiate your organisation and demonstrate leadership in public sector transformation.
  • Business Impact: Provide measurable data showing the impact of AI on public sector operations, such as improved service accessibility, cost savings, increased efficiency, or enhanced citizen satisfaction.
  • Future AI Plans: Outline your future AI goals, including areas for expansion and how AI will continue driving innovation and improving public sector outcomes.
