Bechtle, the German IT services and reseller group, has acquired Technology First Ltd., which trades in the Irish market as ITQuotes. The deal, Bechtle’s first acquisition in Ireland, matters to the sector because it adds IT procurement, lifecycle services and fulfilment capability to its Dublin operation.

Bechtle AG is headquartered in Neckarsulm, Germany, and has been active in Ireland since 2008, serving customers from its Dublin office. Dublin-based ITQuotes provides IT procurement, hardware, software and deployment services to enterprise and public sector customers.

ITQuotes generated revenue of more than €30 million (£25.1 million) in its most recent financial year with a team of around 20 employees, which implies revenue of more than €1 million per head.

The acquisition is expected to help Bechtle drive efficiencies across procurement and vendor management and to support larger pan-European customer projects. ITQuotes customers will gain access to Bechtle’s broader portfolio across cloud, security, IT infrastructure and managed services.

ITQuotes founders and co-owners Joe Finucane and Brian Lehane will remain with the company for a period to support integration.

The deal follows Bechtle’s 2026 purchases of Kaut-Bullinger’s 3D printing business, Interforce Networks BV and Interforce Hosted Solutions, and EuroSolid.

James Napp, regional director UK & Ireland at Bechtle, said: “Ireland is an attractive and dynamic technology market with a strong international profile.” He said combining ITQuotes’ local market knowledge with Bechtle’s European reach, scale and broad solutions portfolio creates a platform for further profitable growth across Bechtle UK&I.

Joe Finucane of ITQuotes, responsible for sales and partner management, said: “For many years, we have pursued a clear goal: helping our customers source technology more easily, quickly and efficiently.”

Neel Bhandari, Managing Director, Bechtle Ireland, said: “ITQuotes has built a strong reputation in the Irish market through its customer focus, procurement expertise and commitment to service excellence.”

The structural driver is consolidation among value-added resellers, with larger European groups buying local procurement specialists to gain customers, scale and vendor-management efficiencies.

For the sector, the deal shows an international reseller turning to acquisition to deepen its Irish presence after 18 years of organic operation.
