Digital Dubai introduces first AI-generated Emirati virtual family

Digital Dubai has launched the UAE’s first AI-generated virtual family, led by “Latifa,” following a public vote that drew nearly 14,000 participants. Designed to embody Emirati values, the family will act as digital ambassadors, engaging audiences across multiple languages and promoting awareness of government digital services.

The initiative is part of the national “Year of Community” agenda, using innovative storytelling formats to strengthen public engagement, encourage safe digital behaviour and make digital services more accessible. Each family member will eventually have a unique communication identity tailored to different age groups, broadening outreach and embedding digital culture into everyday life.

By blending AI-driven content with cultural representation, Digital Dubai is positioning the virtual family as a bridge between technology adoption and public trust—supporting the city’s broader digital transformation strategy.
