Ireland has claimed the top spot in EMEA for AI strategy integration, according to Deloitte research. Surveying nearly 2,000 executives across 15 countries, the study shows Irish firms embedding AI deeply into operations and governance.

Among 105 senior leaders from large Irish enterprises, 81% reported integrating AI into their corporate vision — the highest in the survey. Dedicated AI leadership is also on the rise, with one in four companies now appointing a Chief AI Officer, compared to one in five across the region.

The impact is tangible. Almost half (46%) of organisations reported seeing a return on investment within two years on their most successful AI initiatives, and 52% achieved ROI greater than 41%. For 35% of firms, AI-driven initiatives now contribute between 6% and 10% of total revenue.

Investment momentum is strong. Over 90% of companies plan to increase AI spending over the next 12 months, building on 87% that have already increased investment in the past year. Budgets are substantial, with more than half allocating 11–20% of technology expenditure to AI projects, and nearly a third spending even more.

The findings highlight a shift from experimentation to execution, with firms embedding AI in strategy and operations responsibly and at scale. Leadership in Ireland is driving the adoption of AI use cases, demonstrating that technology can deliver measurable business outcomes when integrated strategically.

Ireland’s approach positions the country as a hub for AI-driven growth, combining strategic foresight with measurable results in real-world operations.
