Irish family-owned meat manufacturer Kepak Group has finalised a large-scale digital transformation across its UK and Ireland network, marking a major operational shift for the company’s finance, warehouse, and supply chain systems.

Delivered by Nexer Enterprise Applications, a Microsoft ERP and CRM specialist, the project implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations to replace Kepak’s legacy Dynamics AX 2012 system. The upgrade streamlines processes across eight facilities in Ireland and multiple UK sites, improving integration from supplier to customer.

As a key supplier to retailers and foodservice chains such as Tesco, Asda, Burger King, and McDonald’s, Kepak required a scalable system to match its growing cross-border operations. Nexer standardised all core workflows under one unified platform, introduced a central billing system, and removed fragmented site-by-site invoicing practices.

The transformation is now entering its hyper-care phase, with further optimisation planned post-implementation. Nexer’s architecture design ensures scalability and long-term growth for Kepak’s future digital needs.

Jeremy O’Callahan, CIO of Kepak Group, said the transition to Dynamics 365 gives the company “consistency and agility” to support farmers and customers while keeping operations running smoothly during deployment. Martin Burden, Commercial Director at Nexer, added that the collaboration “futureproofs” Kepak’s evolving supply chain through platform consolidation.

The project reinforces Ireland’s growing investment in enterprise digital transformation within traditional manufacturing sectors.
