Navi Group has been shortlisted in the Best Digital Transformation — Healthcare & Life Sciences category at the Digital Transformation & AI Awards 2025, recognised for its DispenSense pharmacy dispensing platform, which the company says represents a significant step forward in how pharmacies manage their daily operations.
DispenSense is designed to address longstanding inefficiencies in pharmacy workflow, automating key stages of the dispensing process to reduce the risk of errors and improve overall throughput.
The platform replaces manual, paper-dependent procedures with a digitised and fully auditable system, giving pharmacy teams greater visibility and control over each stage of dispensing.
Navi Group says the technology is intended to free up staff time, allowing pharmacists and their teams to redirect their focus toward direct patient care and clinical responsibilities rather than administrative and procedural tasks.
The company traces its origins to the Axium Buying Group, founded in 2009, through which it established a longstanding presence in the Irish pharmacy sector as a supplier of IT and operational solutions.
That experience informed the development of DispenSense, which was built with the practical realities of busy pharmacy environments in mind.
The Digital Transformation & AI Awards evaluates entrants across several criteria, including strategic planning, implementation approach, measurable business outcomes, and demonstrable impact on the wider sector.
Navi Group's inclusion on the shortlist places it among a group of organisations the judging panel identified as driving meaningful and evidence-based change within Ireland's healthcare and life sciences industry.
The awards ceremony took place on June 19th, 2025 at the Royal Marine Hotel in Dun Laoghaire.
