US technology services company Presidio is acquiring Dublin-based Ergo in a deal worth about €100 million, expanding its position across Ireland and the UK’s digital transformation landscape.

Presidio, which delivers cloud, cybersecurity, and AI-driven transformation solutions, said the acquisition aligns with its strategy to deepen regional expertise and scale its service portfolio across key markets. Chief Executive Bob Cagnazzi described the move as an “important step” in Presidio’s European growth, highlighting how the integration of Ergo’s leadership and talent will enhance client delivery and innovation capacity.

Founded in 1993 by Irish entrepreneur John Purdy, Ergo has built a reputation for its expertise in cloud, data, AI, and IT resourcing, alongside top-tier partnerships with Microsoft, Broadcom, and Dell. The firm currently holds the title of Microsoft Partner of the Year in Ireland and employs hundreds of specialists across its operations.

Ergo CEO Paul McCann said joining Presidio would provide “resources and scale to accelerate growth” while maintaining the company’s client-focused culture. He added that Presidio’s recognition of Ergo’s people and local relationships was key to the decision.

Bríd Graham, Presidio’s senior vice-president for Europe and Asia Pacific, emphasised Ireland’s strategic role as a technology hub. She noted that combining Presidio and Ergo’s capabilities would create one of Ireland’s leading technology service providers, equipped to support both local and multinational clients.

The acquisition marks Presidio’s latest move in its international expansion strategy following previous growth in Asia Pacific. The combined expertise of both companies is expected to strengthen their offerings in managed services, cybersecurity, and AI-driven digital transformation.
