Irish construction technology firm Scopey Onsite has raised €523,000 in pre-seed funding to expand operations across Ireland, the United Kingdom and Australia as industry compliance demands intensify, according to IT Brief Australia.
SFC Capital led the investment round with participation from Enterprise Ireland. The capital will fund development of sector-specific workflows and broader deployment of a conversational interface that transforms site observations into formal project records meeting contractual standards.
The platform allows construction personnel to document on-site developments through natural language inputs, which the system converts into timestamped, auditable entries. This process addresses persistent challenges around incomplete documentation that frequently escalate into commercial disputes.
Scopey Onsite's technology complies with ISO 19650 information management protocols while generating reports satisfying contractual notification obligations. Time-bar provisions, which can determine eligibility for schedule extensions or cost adjustments, represent a particular focus area.
The firm has appointed Mark Kehoe, a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with construction law and dispute resolution credentials spanning Ireland, Europe and Australia, as Board Advisor.
Mark Kehoe said: "The difference between a manageable issue and a formal dispute often comes down to the quality and timing of communication and records. What I like about Scopey Onsite is the practicality. It makes timely notifications and good record-keeping easier to administer day-to-day, without adding administrative burden to site teams."
Initial deployments on medium-scale Irish commercial projects demonstrate improved record consistency from field personnel to office teams. The structured output facilitates compliance verification and response preparation for client, insurer and adjudicator inquiries.
Donnchadh Cullinan, Head of Enterprise Solutions at Enterprise Ireland, said: "Scopey Onsite is a standout example of how Irish-based innovators are redefining workflows in complex global industries."
Construction documentation traditionally relies on fragmented systems including manual notes, email exchanges and messaging applications, creating retrieval and verification difficulties during dispute proceedings.
