Casting the spotlight back to the Digital Transformation & AI Awards 2025, the Most Innovative Transformation category brought together a shortlist of organisations recognised for the creativity, digital strategy, and implementation rigour behind their transformation projects over the preceding 18 months.

AI Institute was shortlisted for its Ethos initiative, put forward for a project that applied enterprise AI thinking to a challenge requiring both technical ambition and ethical grounding, demonstrating how responsible AI innovation can be embedded into organisational practice in a structured and evidenced way.

An Cosán earned its place on the shortlist and ultimately took home the Most Innovative Transformation award for its Digital Stepping Stones and Get Yourself Online initiative, a digital transformation project that the judging panel identified as the strongest entry in the category. The programme demonstrated how business transformation through digital innovation could deliver outcomes extending well beyond operational efficiency into tangible community empowerment and social impact.

Dublin City University was shortlisted for Campus Explorer, an interactive 3D digital model of its campuses powered by enterprise spatial technology, recognised for applying tools developed for large-scale urban planning to the everyday challenge of campus navigation and student engagement.

HEINEKEN was shortlisted for its Merchandising Shop initiative, reflecting how digital transformation within a large consumer organisation can streamline operational processes and deliver measurable improvements at scale.

HSE Technology & Transformation was shortlisted for its Digital Transformation in National Specialist Health Services programme, recognised for advancing digital excellence and enterprise technology adoption across one of Ireland's most complex and critical public health environments.

TUS Global earned its shortlist position for its Technology in the Student Experience initiative, demonstrating how higher education institutions can deploy digital workplace and business technology solutions to meaningfully improve outcomes for a diverse and geographically distributed student community.

The category recognised organisations that demonstrated the best use of innovation in a digital transformation project, with judges assessing entries on the innovative nature of the approach, implementation quality, key challenges overcome, and the measurable impact delivered.
