ARCEP Chad Engages ITU to Advance Digital Transformation and ICT Development

On the sidelines of the Global Symposium for Regulators (GSR-25) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the Director General of the Electronic Communications and Postal Regulatory Authority (ARCEP Chad), Mr. Haliki Choua Mahamat, held a strategic meeting with Dr. Cosmas Luckyson Zavazava, Director of the Telecommunications Development Bureau (BDT) of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), on September 3, 2025.

The discussions focused on the major challenges and opportunities facing Chad in advancing information and communication technologies (ICTs) and implementing its digital transformation agenda. Key issues highlighted included Chad’s continued engagement with the ITU through high-level meetings and technical workshops, as well as the importance of producing regular ICT development indicators to strengthen the country’s Market Observatory. A comprehensive 2024 report on ICT development in Chad is expected to be shared with the ITU in the near future.
