US-based specialty technology distributor Climb Channel Solutions has appointed Mike Holt as territory manager for Ireland, placing an experienced sales and channel executive at the centre of its local partner and commercial operations as AI and digital transformation reshape demand across the technology market.
According to Channel Life, Holt brings more than 25 years of experience across senior roles spanning channels, alliances and regional management at several technology companies. Before joining Climb, he served as global business consultant at Xplora, and previously held EMEA director positions at Spacetalk and HiveIO, where he gained experience across technology, software-as-a-service, security and original equipment manufacturer partnerships.
In his new role, Holt will be responsible for growing sales, strengthening strategic relationships with key partners and identifying new opportunities across the Irish market. His remit includes supporting partners and customers as they navigate changes linked to artificial intelligence and digital transformation, themes that have become central across the technology channel as distributors, resellers and vendors adjust their portfolios to meet evolving customer demand.
Climb, part of US-listed parent group Climb Global Solutions, operates across specialist areas of the technology market including security, AI, data management, connectivity, storage, virtualisation, cloud and software. Ireland remains a competitive market for distributors, where local relationships and vendor ties play a significant role in winning business. "I'm really excited about the opportunity to enhance the Climb offering in the Irish market, while delivering great customer and advisory services to our partners," said Mike Holt, territory manager for Ireland at Climb Channel Solutions.
