Enterprise IT management software company ManageEngine has rolled out its Zia Agents across its digital enterprise management suite, enabling autonomous task execution across service management, observability, endpoint management and security operations without requiring human intervention at each step.
The development, reported by IT Brief, introduces a shared agentic platform through which customers can deploy prebuilt agents with a single click or build custom agents from scratch using Zia Agent Studio, including configuration through natural language.
The platform supports multi-agent orchestration, allowing a master agent to coordinate specialist sub-agents assigned to distinct tasks within more complex enterprise IT workflows.
Rajesh Ganesan, CEO at ManageEngine, said: "The frontier models are great for all-purpose use but are not often efficient for specific areas like enterprise IT. We take great care in building AI technology that is not only purpose-built but also provides value in terms of cost and long-term use."
In service management, prebuilt agents cover level 1 service desk support, post-incident report generation and knowledge base article creation, each deployable within minutes. In observability and IT operations, agents move beyond monitoring to investigate incidents, identify root causes and support recovery tasks directly.
Security operations capabilities include automated user reviews, alert correlation and multi-step investigations, with agents drawing on logs, vulnerabilities and device risk signals to produce unified assessments. Teams can query log and alert data in plain English using either prebuilt or custom agents.
Endpoint management agents cover detection and response event triage, patch troubleshooting, device diagnosis and compliance tasks, with one agent mapping attack chains to the MITRE ATT&CK framework and recommending analyst next steps before human intervention is required.
ManageEngine emphasised privacy and governance throughout the rollout, confirming that customer data is never used to train AI models. Administrators can define behavioural guardrails for agents, while built-in observability creates a full audit trail of agent actions.
Umasankar Narayanasamy, Vice President at ManageEngine, said: "Our commitment to upholding the principles of data privacy and sovereignty gives assurance to our customers to adopt AI agents with confidence."
