Irish cloud and infrastructure specialist Stryve has acquired Kilkenny-based managed service provider BITS South-East Limited for an undisclosed sum, adding specialist expertise across IT managed services, infrastructure, technology consultancy, security and AI-powered automation as it continues to scale across Ireland.
The deal, reported by Irish Tech News, brings combined headcount to more than 70 people and extends Stryve's operational presence across offices in Naas, Kilkenny, Galway and Dublin.
BITS was established in 2001 and has built a 25-year track record delivering technology solutions to organisations across Ireland. Its senior executives Gavin Dixon and Paul Byrne will join Stryve's leadership team as chief strategy officer and chief operating officer respectively, bringing both founding expertise and strategic continuity to the enlarged business.
Andrew Tobin, CEO of Stryve, said: "BITS has built an exceptional reputation as a leading Irish MSP over more than 25 years. BITS's strong operational expertise will greatly complement our technical and security capabilities, and expand our regional footprint to serve Irish clients better."
Gavin Dixon, who founded BITS in 2001, said: "Joining forces with Stryve allows us to do exactly that, while staying true to our people-first culture as an Irish-owned business. This is a natural next chapter for BITS, our clients and our team."
Paul Byrne said: "I very much see our coming together with Stryve as an extension of that original vision," referring to a 10-year growth strategy the BITS team had developed and updated quarterly since 2019, targeting growth, service maturity and expanded opportunities for clients and staff.
The acquisition follows Stryve's 2023 merger with Galway-based MSP Sleepless and the launch of the Stryve Platform in 2025. Founded in 2019, the company has pursued a deliberate acquisition-led growth strategy across the Irish managed services market. Stryve has indicated it remains open to further acquisition opportunities as it continues to scale both domestically and internationally.
