Irish infrastructure company TLI Group has deployed Esri's ArcGIS location intelligence technology across its power, renewable energy, smart energy services and telecommunications operations, creating a connected digital platform that supports real-time collaboration between field and office teams across major national infrastructure projects.

The deployment, reported by Irish Tech News, is being used across the national broadband plan and the national smart metering rollout, as well as for overhead power line upgrades, wind and solar farm grid connection routes, and trenching and ducting works.

Operational staff use mobile applications to collect and share live data directly from project sites, feeding back to office-based teams who manage projects through web apps, dashboards and desktop tools. The platform gives both field and office teams access to the same real-time information, supporting faster and more informed decision-making across multi-disciplinary operations.

Having live data available through mobile apps means teams can instantly identify and quickly risk assess any issues that arise."

A key system built on the platform is TLI Group's company-wide Near-Miss, Good-Catch reporting tool, which allows team members to instantly flag potential safety risks from mobile devices. Managers receive immediate alerts and can monitor trends through live dashboards, with multiple digital health and safety reports now captured and reviewed every week.

The ArcGIS deployment required no bespoke code or supplementary development budget, according to TLI Group, with the platform providing off-the-shelf functionality alongside project-specific configuration capability.
