Dublin-based digital transformation firm Version 1 has acquired Scottish counterpart CreateFuture for an undisclosed amount, creating one of Europe's largest digital transformation entities with revenues exceeding €500 million and 4,250 employees, according to Business Cloud.
Version 1 was founded in Ireland in 1996 and has 3,700 employees globally with revenues exceeding €400 million. CreateFuture, formerly known as xDesign, is a technology services firm employing 550 professionals working with clients in highly regulated industries including iGaming, financial services and utilities. The company has offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, London and Sofia.

The transaction represents a growth acquisition reflecting Version 1's confidence in its workforce, strategic clarity and market positioning. The combined entity strengthens capabilities across regulated industry sectors while expanding geographic reach through CreateFuture's UK and Bulgarian operations.
